Kat Hurd
Founder and CEO, MedTech Collective
I started MedTech Collective because the training I needed at every stage of my career didn't exist. So I built it.
I have sat in every seat your team sits in.
At Boston Scientific, I spent 11 years growing from clinical specialist to award-winning sales rep to award-winning sales leader overseeing a $30M, three-state region. I learned what it takes to build a territory from scratch, what separates reps who hit quota from reps who dominate, and what happens when leadership either accelerates or limits a team's potential.
At Saluda Medical, I built a sales team from the ground up through FDA approval and full U.S. commercialization. Three years as National Business Development Director and then Area Vice President, leading more than 70 people through the hardest, fastest, most demanding growth phase a company can face.
In January 2024, I left to build MedTech Collective.
Not because I was done with the industry. Because I saw the same gaps everywhere I went. Reps who had the product knowledge but not the sales behaviors. Leaders who were promoted because they could sell but never trained to lead. Training programs that sounded good in the room and disappeared in the field.
I built this business to fill those gaps. Not with theory. Not with borrowed frameworks from industries that don't understand ours. With strategies I developed and pressure-tested over 16 years of winning in this exact space.

MedTech Collective
Founder and CEO
Sales training, leadership development, and speaking for medical device organizations. Built to close the gap between product knowledge and field performance at every level of the team.
Training is only as good as what happens after the session ends.
Most corporate training fails for the same reason: it treats the session as the product. The real product is what your team does differently on Monday morning, three weeks later, three months later. Everything I build is designed around that standard.
I operate as an adjunct to your internal training, not a replacement for it. I build the behavioral and strategic layer that product-focused programs don't cover. And I integrate your leaders into every engagement so the language, the frameworks, and the accountability sustain long after I leave the room.
Organizations I have worked with
Now you know who I am. Let's talk about what your team needs.
Whether it is sales training, leadership development, or a speaker for your next event, every engagement starts with a conversation.
